Book Burning

Saturday August 23, 2003
In February 2002, we finished a discussion about burning books as a form of protest/censorship. Somehow, I foolishly thought that book burning was a very rare occurrence, but I just read about another instance. According to a story I found posted on WZZM13.com via the Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator it happened again recently in Michigan. An area church burned copies of the Harry Potter books. What do you think about burning books? Post your comments to the discussion mentioned above. recall recall

Well I think its unfair for books to be burned. I mean, Adolf Hitler burned books. We don’t want to stoop to his level. Also they need to read the books instead of just “researching” about it, because they can read things out of context
