J.K. Rowling Wins Again

Friday September 12, 2003
J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, has been honored with an important award in Spain. The minutes of the jury of the 2003 Prince of Asturias Award for Concord reveal that the award was bestowed "...on Ms. Joanne Kathleen Rowling, for the nature of her works, which transcends the spheres of literature to become a point of union that links continents and generations, fostering the imagination as a source of freedom at the service of good, and cooperation and solidarity amongst people."

We have a number of discussions and polls about the Harry Potter books on the About Children's Books Forum. I hope you'll join in. Just enter the Forum, scroll down and click on "Start Reading". On the next screen, scroll down again until you get to the Harry Potter section.recall recall
