Are you familiar with the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature in Abilene, Texas? Hopefully, you'll get to visit there some day. In the meantime, you can enjoy all the center's website has to offer. In the Meet the Artist section, you'll find illustrated biographies of some excellent children's book artists, like Ezra Jack Keats and Jerry Pinkney. Have you read the special anniversary collection Keat's Neighborhood: An Ezra Jack Keats Treasury, which was published in 2002 in honor of the 40th anniversary of The Snowy Day?

The Snowy Day and Peter's Chair are just two of the picture books written and illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats. Do you and your family have favorites? Let me know what they are and why you like them by joining our discussion on the about Children's Books Forum. recall recall
