Bilingual Books

Thursday October 9, 2003
There was an interesting article about bilingual children's books in yesterday's The Salt Lake Tribune. “Bilingual books offer bridge for children, their immigrant parents,” by Erin Hanafy of The Associated Press, reports on the increased availability of children's books in Spanish and bilingual books. According to Hanafy, "Many believe that bilingual books, those in both English and Spanish or another language, offer the key to helping children of immigrants adjust to the United States while maintaining ties to their parents."

The article is one of several I have seen lately that feature Children's Book Press, a publisher of multicultural children's literature. For additional resources, see my Bilingual/Foreign subjects directory. If you have titles or publishers you'd recommend I add, start a discussion on our Forum. recall recall
