UK's Top Books

Monday October 20, 2003
The BBC News has announced the shortlist of 21 books nominated for the title of Britain's best-loved book. Close to 140,000 people voted in April, when BBC2's Big Read was launched, for the initial shortlist of 100. I was interested to note that a half dozen of the books on the new shortlist are children's books, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Winnie the Pooh. Are there children's classics that you would put on your own personal shortlist of favorites? If so, post them on the About Children's Books Forum. recall recall
