Children's Book Week

Thursday November 13, 2003
Did you know that November 17-23, 2003 is the 84th observance of The Children’s Book Council’s Children’s Book Week? The theme this year is "Free to Read" and children, and their adult caregivers, are encouraged to exercise their freedom to read by "spending some time with a book each day." To challenge young readers, the CBC has provided two special Book Week crossword puzzles. You will also find a lot of ideas for celebrating Book Week.

For more about The Children's Book Council, see my article spotlighting this nonprofit trade organization. If you and your family or students celebrate Children's Book Week, I hope you will let us know about it by posting on the About Children's Books Forum.recall recall
