Spotlight on Sharon Creech

Friday May 7, 2004
Sharon Creech not only writes award winning novels for 9-12 year olds (upper elementary and middle school), she also has a terrific website. Check out my article for information on this talented author and the resources offered on her website. Creech received the 1995 Newbery Medal for "Walk Two Moons" and the 2002 Carnegie Award for "Ruby Holler." I also love her recent book "Granny Torrelli Makes Soup" and have heard wonderful things about her new book "Heartbeat," which is written in free verse.

How do you and your children feel about Sharon Creech's books? Share your opinions and recommendations. Join the discussion on the About Children's Books Forum.
