Graphic Novels Becoming More and More Popular

In the last few years, school and public libraries have begun to add more and more graphic novels to their collections. Why? It's due to the increasing popularity of the genre with 'tweens and teens. What is a graphic novel? According to an article on the website of the Takoma Park Public Library in Maryland, "Graphic Novel is a term referring to book-length comic books or comic-book format novels/story collections."
