National Book Award Finalists Announced

In a previous blog I mentioned that author Judy Blume is to be honored with the 2004 National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contributions to American Letters. Recently, the 2004 finalists for the National Book Award were announced. According to the National Book Foundation, "The Finalists in the Young People's Literature category tackle such sensitive subjects as sexual identity, racism, and atheism."
