Happy Thanksgiving and More

Wednesday November 24, 2004
With the coming of Thanksgiving, the winter holiday season begins. Before you shop for holiday books, read my article Before You Buy Children's Books About Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. It includes tips and Top Picks lists of recommended children's books for each of the holidays.

Thanks to the Reading Rocket site, you can send cute "Season's Readings!" e-cards to all of your young friends. The cards, which are animated, were created by such award-winning children's book authors and illustrators as Marc Brown and Peter Sis. They'll be a big hit with your kids and their friends. Sending an e-card is a clever way to encourage reading.
