Best Canadian Books

The children's librarians of the Toronto Public Library created an online list of the books they selected as the "100 Best Canadian Books for Today's Children and Teens." The list includes cover art and a brief summary of each book. This is a tremendous resource. The list is divided into eight categories: Picture Books, Advanced Picture Books, Beginning and Early Readers, Folklore, Children's Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, and Teen Fiction. I was pleased to see that several books by one of my favorite Canadian authors of children's books, Jean Little, are included on the list.
