A new movie version of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl, starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton, is scheduled for release July 15, 2005. In preparation for seeing the movie, lots of children and adults have been reading or rereading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I just finished the Puffin Modern Classics paperback edition, with illustrations by Quentin Blake. I had forgotten how very entertaining the book is. I am looking forward to seeing Johnny Depp's interpretation of Willy Wonka.
