Coming: A Movie Version of "Where the Wild Things Are"

According to an article in today’s New York Times, after fifteen years of starts and stops on a movie version of "Where the Wild Things Are," "Pre-production is well under way." Spike Jonze, who will direct, co-authored the screenplay with novelist Dave Eggers. Maurice Sendak, the author and illustrator of the classic children’s picture book, will serve as one of the producers. No release date has been announced.
