Libros del Mundo from Kane/Miller Children's Book Publisher

Kane/Miller, an independent American publishing company, specializes in publishing picture books in English that were originally published in other countries, often in other languages. Kane/Miller's Libros del Mundo is a new line of Spanish-language editions. According to the president of Kane/Miller, Kira Lynn,

Young readers, whether they speak Spanish in the home, or are learning it in school, will have the opportunity to experience the work of award-winning authors and illustrators from all over the world. Our mandate is to bring the world closer to a child and the children of the world closer to each other.

Spanish-language editions of four of most popular picture books published by ">Kane/Miller debuted in the fall of 2006. The first four books published were picture books originally published in Germany, the Netherlands, England, and Italy. There are presently 12 children's books available in the Libros del Mundo line of children's books.
