Elizabeth's Children's Books BlogHappy St. Patrick's Day! Happy St. Patrick's Day! If you and your kids are like many people, you know St. Patrick as the patron saint of Ireland, and you know the legend of St. Patrick and the snakes, but little more. You and your children will enjoy learning more as you share Tomie dePaola's Patrick, Patron Saint of Ireland. While the book is geared toward four to eight year olds, older children will find it intriguing also. If you are interested in Irish folktales and fairy tales, some of those I recommend are Tales from Old Ireland, Favorite Fairy Tales Told in Ireland, and Tales for the Telling: Irish Folk & Fairy Stories.
