Did you know that April 2, 2008, was the 203rd anniversary of the birth of Hans Christian Andersen, a Danish poet, playwright, travel book author, and novelist, who is still known today for his fairy tales? Andersen is famous around the world for his fairy tales, which are said to have been translated into more languages than almost any other author's stories. His fairy tales include "The Princess and the Pea," "Thumbelina," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Emperor's New Clothes," among many others.
