Children's Book Review: Faraway Home

Faraway Home is a terrific children's picture book. The text by Jane Kurtz and the watercolors by E.B. Lewis are exceptional. Jane Kurtz, who presently lives in Kansas, grew up in Ethiopia. E.B. Lewis, who grew up in Philadelphia, has traveled throughout Ethiopia. Both the words and the artwork in this children's picture book clearly express the poignancy of being far from home, in this case, Ethiopia, while at the same time celebrating the home that comes with a loving family.
