Harry Potter and The Tales of Beedle the Bard

What is the connection between the Harry Potter series and The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which will be published December 4, 2008? It's not just that the author of both the Harry Potter series and The Tales of Beedle the Bard is J.K. Rowling. There is a special significance to the connection between the final book in the Harry Potter series and the new book.
