Where Will You Enjoy the 2008 National Book Festival?

Let It Shine cover art Even if you can't get there, you can participate in this year's National Book Festival using online resources. The Library of Congress' 8th Annual National Book Festival will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on The National Mall (Between 3rd and 7th streets) in Washington, DC. If you are among the lucky ones attending, you'll see lots of authors and illustrators of books for children and teens. Among those who will be at the Festival are Fortunately, if you can't get there, you and your children can participate using the Festival's online Young Reader's Toolkit. The Toolkit includes information about National Book Festival authors who write for children and teens, podcasts of their readings, teaching tools and activities for kids.
