Give Children's Books As Mother's Day Gifts

Friday April 24, 2009
Cover Art – My MomIf you are looking for special Mother's Day gifts for your mother or grandmother, here are some children’s picture books, plus one book of quotations from children’s books, that should appeal to them. Two of the books pay tribute to mothers in a delightful mix of words and images, and two stand out for the quality of the illustrations that complement the text. Are there other children's books that you think would make good Mother's Day gifts? If so, click on "Comments" below and share your recommendations.

What a nice idea! I try to give my daughter a children’s book every so often for her classroom and for her own future children. As a recently retired reading teacher who had a reputation of buying every book in sight at conferences, I’d love getting one for Mother’s Day too….or any day!
