If you are looking for light summer reading for your child, I recommend Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little. It's the entertaining story of Moxy Maxwell, a nine-year-old girl, whose procrastination about completing a summer reading assignment, coupled with her vivid imagination, causes a lot of trouble, much of which her twin brother documents with photographs. I recommend Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little for 8-11 year old independent readers and as a read-aloud for 7-10 year olds. What are some of your favorite children's books for 8-11 year olds? First off, I love having your information available so handily! It keeps me informed of new product for kids…
My daughter 8.5 yro daughter is loving the Allie Finkle series by Meg Cabot. Admittedly, I was a little put off by the first one in regards to her description of Allie’s only child friend. I thought is was cliched, and somewhat insulting. My daughter is an only child, as am I. But she enjoyed the story so much, we continued reading the series. We also just read Clementine and my daughter loved it. She really wasn’t interested; I forced it a little and, of course, she ended up loving it! Those are just a couple; but I will absolutely look for this one! Thanks again -
