It's Teen Read Week!

Tuesday October 20, 2009
Teen Read Week Logo It's Teen Read Week, time to focus on encouraging teens to read for the fun of it. This year's theme is "Read Beyond Reality @ your library®." According to the American Library Association, "Teen Read Week is an annual initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), in which librarians, educators, parents and other concerned adults encourage teens to read for pleasure and to become regular readers and library users." YALSA is the fastest growing division of the American Library Association (ALA). For more information, see Young Adult Books and YALSA.
