Twilight - Most Popular Discussion of 2009

The About Children's Books blog that received the most responses in 2009 was my blog Stephenie Meyer's Vampire Series - For What Age?, asking if the series was for kids younger than high school age. So far, 75 people have responded, from parents, librarians and other adults to numerous tweens and teens. Many have very strong opinions. In a subsequent blog, I suggested, "For more insight on the series and what to consider, see What Parents of Teens Need to Know About the Twilight Series. In the article, Denise Witmer, About.com Guide to Parenting Teens, advises, 'You'll want to save the fourth, and last, book for when your teen is older and mature enough to handle sexually explicit material and the 'death' of Bella.'" If you or your kids have read any of the books in the series and have not yet responded, I hope you will add your opinions to the discussion.
