In addition to the classic novel A Wrinkle in Time
by Madeline L'Engle
, there is a graphic novel adaptation, A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel
. It's an interesting exercise for middle grade students to compare and contrast the two versions - to look a particular passage in the novel and see how it's illustrated in the graphic novel and to look at one of the illustrations in the graphic novel and find the text in L'Engle's classic work of fantasy and science fiction that it's based on.
If you and your kids have read the graphic novel, let me know how you feel about it and how you think it compares to L'Engle's novel. I'd also like to know what you think of the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time. To share your opinions, click on "Comments" below and post a comment.
