Cover art of the children's book New Crouching TigerCelebrate the Chinese New Year with these recommended Children's Books About the Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year. My favorite, A New Year's Reunion, is a picture book set in contemporary China. It is the festive, yet poignant story of a family that is only together once a year, at New Year's, because the father is a migrant worker whose construction jobs take him far from his family the rest of the year. Another of the books on my list is set in South Korea and several others are set in the United States. There is also a book of paper crafts for the holiday and a holiday ABC book. Read over my list, and if you have other books about the Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year to recommend, please click on "Comments" below and share your recommendations.
