Spotlight on Author and Illustrator Bill Peet

Thursday April 19, 2007
Cover art of Capyboppy by Bill Peet Award winning children's author and illustrator Bill Peet wrote 35 children's picture books. The imaginative and clever artwork and stories have ensured the enduring popularity of many of the children's books by Bill Peet. Our children loved Bill Peet because of his book Capyboppy. It's the true story of the capybara who lived with the Peet family. We discovered the illustrated 62-page book for intermediate readers just at the time our local zoo acquired a capybarra, and that made it special for us.
