Just in time for Young People's Poetry Week, I recevied a newsletter from The Word Pool, a UK Web site, with the link to brief reviews of a number of intriguing poetry books for children. Each of the poetry books is based on a theme; the themes cover a wide range of subjects, from fire to football. Two other poetry books for children that I recommend are A Poke in the I: A Collection of Concrete Poems and Love to Mamá: A Tribute to Mothers.
