The
Theodor Seuss Geisel Award is named after the beloved author of numerous children’s picture books and beginning readers under the name “Dr. Seuss.” The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award is a wonderful source for the best in children's beginning reader books. The 2008 winner and Honor Books will delight beginning readers.

ALSC), “Willems' balanced design of color-coordinated speech bubbles, expressive cartoon art and familiar vocabulary create an engaging, laugh-out-loud experience for young readers. The charming characters, whimsical tone and accessible language come together in this fresh and memorable celebration of friendship.”
