Queen of Christmas by Mary Engelbreit

Queen Of Christmas Children's bookHarperCollins

The children's Christmas picture book Queen of Christmas is one of my favorites because of the distinctive illustrations by Mary Engelbreit and because the book takes a humorous look at a child with a huge list of things she wants for Christmas and a bad case of the Christmas "gimmees." Christmas is a week away and Ann Estelle, the self-proclaimed "Queen of Christmas," is focused on "The List," her ever-growing list of things she wants for Christmas. At this time of year, children of all ages, overwhelmed by all of the commercials and other ads, can easily come down with a bad case of the "gimmees." However, as this children's Christmas picture book illustrates, they eventually realize that there are other things more important than presents.
