Pop-up books seem to becoming increasingly popular. That's no surprise when the quality of pop-ups just keeps getting better. A case in point is How Many: Spectacular Paper Sculptures by Ron van der Meer. Each 3-D paper sculpture is designed to be viewed all the way around. There is no front or back. The paper sculptures really are spectacular.
There are several ways to enjoy How Many: Spectacular Paper Sculptures by Ron van der Meer. You could just put the book on your coffee table and open it to a new pop-up paper sculpture each day that you and your family can enjoy. Another is to have fun trying to answer all van der Meer's questions about the numbers of objects and shapes in each pop-up.
An added bonus with this pop-up book is that, unlike many pop-up books, you can open and close How Many easily, without worry that the friction of pop-up pieces rubbing against one another will cause rips. I recommend How Many: Spectacular Paper Sculptures as a family gift for families with childen six and older. I don't recommend it for younger children because they might pull the paper sculptures apart in their enthusiasm. Children six and older, teens, and adults will all enjoy this book. See the next page for cover art and publication details.
